When reviewing rock magazines, they seem open to any audience who is interested in rock music of all ages. Magazines such as NME and Kerrang share a similar target audience as they look as if they are targeting the new generation of rock fans. As where Q appears to target an audience of a more mature nature, as they often have features based on John Lennon of the Beatles and Madonna. Although they still use articles based on new generation of artist's, they often refer to an older generation of rock stars than any other magazine.
For my magazine however i will be sharing a similar audience to that of kerrang and NME as my magazine is based around a modern rockstar who is up and coming, therefore the older generation of rock music lovers, won't be as interested. My magazine will be targeting from the ages of 18 - 23, as they are mostly students at university who spend a lot of time going to gigs, and listening to music when studying.
Below is the information on target audience from NME which is very similar to the audience i am targeting.
