Planning: Reader Profile

Many organisations conduct in depth research into their readers of the magazine and who they are trying to attract. When doing this they try to look at their other interests therefore they can target the right type of reader. The interests will definitely include music tastes as a person interested in rock won't want to buy a pop magazine, they will want to invest in a magazine dedicated to the rock genre.

As my magazine is a rock magazine, using reader profiling will enable me to gain a much deeper insight on who will want to read the final products.

Occupation: Student at University
Computer Game Interests: Role Playing games
Music Interest: Rock, indie, punk, alternative
TV Show Interest: Kerrang, Q
Last film seen: Paranormal activity
Last concert seen: 30 seconds to mars
